You can have flawless targeting, perfect tracking, and unlimited budget. None of it matters if your creative falls flat. In 2025, creative is the single biggest lever for paid media performance—and most brands are still approaching it backwards.

The Creative Strategy Framework#

Define 3-5 creative pillars (core themes). Develop angles within each pillar. Select formats for each angle. This provides structure while leaving room for creative exploration.

Hooks: The First Three Seconds#

Pattern interrupts break scroll patterns. Curiosity gaps demand resolution. Social proof leads with credibility. Problem agitation calls out pain points. Test 5-10 hooks with same body creative.

Creative Testing#

Test in hierarchy: concept tests first, then angle tests, hook tests, and iteration tests. Wait for 30-50 conversions before calling winners. Separate testing campaigns from scaling campaigns.

Production Volume#

Under $10K/month: 5-10 new pieces monthly. $10-50K: 10-20. $50-200K: 20-40. $200K+: 40+. Use modular production, templates, and UGC programs to scale efficiently.
