The first time you open Meta Ads Manager, it hits you like a wall of data. Columns of metrics you half-recognize. Filters you're afraid to touch. Buttons that could break something.
Understanding the Interface#
Ads Manager is organized: Campaigns contain Ad Sets, which contain Ads. The navigation between these tabs matters. When troubleshooting, start at Campaigns, then drill into specific Ad Sets, then Ads.
Customizing Columns and Metrics#
The default columns aren't optimized for decision-making. Create custom presets for daily monitoring (Delivery, Spend, Purchases, CPA, ROAS, CTR, CPM, Frequency) and creative analysis.
Filters and Bulk Editing#
Filters are underused. Filter by Delivery Status to see learning phase progress. Filter by Cost per Result to surface underperformers. Bulk editing (E key) is the single biggest time-saver.
Keyboard Shortcuts#
